Law minister Salman Khurshid said - 9% from OBC quota
Mulayam Singh said - 18% (from OBC quota ? )
And the funny thing is that Muslims believed all of the above without reading the Constitution of India - which doesn't allow reservations under religious grounds.
Courts follow Constitution and if Sachar/Ranganath Mishra commission report recommendations need to be implemented, then amend the constitution the way it was amended to overturn the Supreme Court Judgement in Shah Bano case.
So, when Andhra High court scolded the Central Government for the 4.5% quota with in OBC quota without any constitutional and statutory backup - in no time, the center moved to Supreme Court and got scolded again.
Countries don't governed under emotions and yet Muslims believe so.. here is he appeal of Muslims to Supreme court which justifies the reservation on "emotional" grounds.

provided the direction & STABILITY to the Country , We all are HAPPY that
India is on way to become a Super power.
HENCE THE SAME COURTS WHEN THEY DENY THE right to one COMMUNITY really
comes as a shock when MUSLIMS are denied
entry into NATIONAL Main
Stream .
Is it too much of asking for a
Community :-, In 2006 the Prime Minister's High Level Sachar Committee
and in 2008 the Government of India's Mishra Commission have duly documented,
supported by most authentic data, that in our beloved country the plight of
Muslims is pitiable
Muslims have contributed to the growth of the Nation in spite of many hurdles , lack of identification .

removing so many prejudices Against Foeticide, Dowry , etc., and trying to Make INDIA a a Better Place to live for all Societies

Body named INDIA , Hence if one part is
Slowly Decaying it will Affect the rest of the body.
PLZ NOTE : Out of 9647 seats 391 Muslims are likely to benefit out of
this proposed Minorities Quota i,e 4 %
and not Total 4.5 %.As per reports , IIT sources say the Cancellation of
sub – Quota would leave out many Minority students
Muslims are also a part of the

SINCE THE IIT’s have made it
CLEAR THAT SUB-QUOTA will be reviewed if a STAY is obtained before June 13 , we
REQUEST our esteemed COURTS , Our POLITICAL PARTIES that without any BIAS
for a betterment of the Muslim Community to Agree for this so that Muslims
Students CAN GET into the CORRIDORS OF
Highest Bench Marks of LEARNING (
IIT ‘s ) & also get into the BRANCH of their Choice.
THROUGH this letter we request our Justice System NOT to Stop the
Momentum of poor Muslims for BETER EDUCATION.

Unfortunately, The Supreme Court didn't stay the AP High Court order..
A simple formula for progress of Muslims: give up all 622AD laws/dress codes, those discourage Muslim women to graduate, post-graduate and seek employment.
Send your children to mainstream schools - no Madarssas please.
Teach your kids that 'Vande Mataram' - worshiping mother will please Allah.
Look at the 57 Muslim countries and some of them have got more wealth than India. Yet, how many have gone to Space ?
No Quota is good for any community because
