If you are a resident of Tamilnadu, know that both Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha have been competing to give free offers for your vote.
Karunanidhi was distributing Free color TVs and health insurance packages.
When he left the CM chair - Tamilnadu was in 1.1Lakh crore debt. that means - your share of debt is
1.1Lakh crore/Number of people of Tamilnadu.
After that Jayalalitha fulfilled her promise of free laptops and marriage package for women at cost of 8000 crore.
Now she was in Delhi to finalize her plan outlay of 28000 crores with Planning commission.
Center offered 3000 crores help with an advise to her to spend the money wisely; that is - don't offer free sops. Let people earn it.
Jaya got upset.
Jayalalithaa took a dig at the Planning Commission saying the exercise
to discuss the outlay appeared to mean that her state was being told how
to spend its own money.
Our question to Jaya is - what was wrong with the advice ?. You had spent additional 8000 crore for your free election promises amid Karunanidhi's 1.1Lakh crore debt.
You must be paying around 10000 crores as interest to that amount of loan.
