Mr. Debabrata Maji of Mechanical Engineering Department of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has been selected for prestigious ‘International Gold Star Award” by the India International Friendship Society, New Delhi. He has been selected for his commendable achievements, outstanding contribution towards progress and development of Indian Economy and Society. This award would be conferred upon him by International Dignitaries, Leaders and other Prominent Personalities through a glittering function during “Global Friendship Banquet” to be held in the Ballroom of Excelsior Creek Hotel, Hamriya, Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 18th November Friday, 2011. Very recently, he has been received the most prestigious RAJIV GANDHI EXCELLENCE AWARD and Certificate of Excellence from His Excellency Dr. Iqbal Singh, Lt. Governor of Puducherry at New Delhi on August 26, 2011 for his outstanding achievements and distinguished services to the Nation.
Earlier, Mr. Debabrata Maji has been conferred with the most prestigious award of International Scientist of the Year for 2008 by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England. Due to his dedication and achievements in the field of social development, he was recognized with the American Medal of Honour in 2009 which is a twenty-first century tribute of excellence and Man of the Year 2008 for India, both by the American Biographical Institute, USA. The White House has been notified of Mr. Maji’s distinguished honours. The pinnacle of distinction for cumulative success during his entire life resulted in Mr. Maji being honoured by the American Biographical Institute with its United Cultural Convention ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2010 and his outstanding achievements and honours including the most notable ‘2010 International Peace Prize’, that have achieved results across political, religious and ethnic divisions for peace and justice. Mr. Maji has also been honoured with Emerald International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship Best Paper Award in 2009 UK. His biography has been included in Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Technology, 10th Edition 2007, USA; Dictionary of International Biography, 34th Edition 2008 and worthy inclusion in 2000 Outstanding Scientists, 2008/2009, The Cambridge Blue Book, 2008/2009 by International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England. These outstanding volumes are widely available to libraries, research Institutions and academic institutions worldwide and housed in the leading libraries of the world including the Library of Congress in Washington DC, USA and the British Library in London. Mr. Maji has received numerous nominations including 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century from International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England; Great Minds of the 21st Century, from American Biographical Institute, USA; International Who’s Who of Professionals, USA; and Marquis Who’s Who in the World, USA.
