India has got
a lenient judicial system; more specifically in cheating and fraud cases, one may lose their life time savings and yet can't get justice. There is no law to immediately confiscate the property of the fraudster and distribute ASAP among the victims. You will get date after date and finally that case will be transferred to some out of state. That had happened in Pertech Computer Limited, New Delhi Fraud case, where all Delhi consumer court cases were transferred to Kolkata high Court and many people decided to forget the case.
So, when you are deciding to invest (buy future flats) in a real estate company, just don't look at the web site and lesser price/sq footage. e.g. in one of the Bangalore project companies like DLF took initial approval for 5 stories but started booking for above 5th floor, asserting timely approval.
So, always demand Government approval documents no matter how reliable the builder is.
Avoid taking lower pricing advantage in pre-launch offer pending Government approvals.
Now, we may see such horrible fraud stories from NOIDA region.

Dear all,
I have invested INR 280,000 in a project named IMPERO by Dhatri constructions in three installments of INR 80,000, INR 100,000 & INR 100,000 between july – sep 2007.
The project was supposed to be kicked off in some time in early Jan 2008. There were several to & fro communications on when the project would start.
As nothing happened till Nov 2008, coupled with the fact that there were no hopes that it would really kick off – have asked for refund of my money in Nov 2008.
For which they initially promised that the same would be repaid by Aug 2009 with interest @12%. For which I requested to at least pay back in installments. Nothing happened, not even a penny was paid.
Umpteen calls. Many go unanswered … No reverts … What really bothers is their attitude. They are continuing their businesses/ operations in spite of cheating many a people like me.
Most weirdest & funniest thing is – when I call them on Sundays, they say that I am disturbing them & it’s their family’s time. This as if we are beggars & asking them for alms.
Can you pls help me in getting my money back???
