Advocates of Ganjam Bar Association (GBA) started cease work agitation from Tuesday (4th Jan.) protesting alleged shifting of court sub-inspector’s (CSI) office from the court premises. it is alleged that the CSI office which was functioning as part of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court was shifted on Dec. 28th 2011 to the premises of Superintendent of Police (SP) Berhampur Office along with the case records without informing the Judiciary. The members of GBA have decided to continue the seize work till all files of CSI office was restored back to the court premises. The matter was brought to the notice of Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Director General of Police (DGP) and State Law Minister. Due to seize work by the advocates people are suffering a lot.
